    Next Steps

Gain an in-depth understanding of international relations, conflict and change, and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

The International Studies program offers an interdisciplinary major, with the option of concentrating in Diplomacy and Security or Sustainability and Global Justice, and three interdisciplinary minors: Latin American Studies, Middle East Studies or Peace Studies. These courses of study are designed to prepare students for work and life in an increasingly interconnected world.

The program provides a broad-based foundation in world history, culture, politics, and economics. The major is well-suited to students interested in careers in such rapidly growing sectors as international business, law, media, governmental and non-governmental organizations concerned with diplomacy, policy-making, global justice, sustainability, public health, peace, relief operations, immigration, and the environment.

LOOK CLOSER

Emmanuel’s International Studies program allows students to study world history, culture, politics and economics broadly or to focus their studies on one of two concentrations: diplomacy + security or sustainability + global justice. A minor in peace studies offers the opportunity to study violent conflict around the world, as well as its possible resolutions.
