where we are
Studying art at Emmanuel College is a rich and rewarding experience—one that offers a new lens from which to observe the world around you.
Emmanuel's art faculty are working artists, designers and art historians who are exhibiting, publishing and designing locally, nationally and internationally. They are dedicated to developing every student’s potential to creatively communicate, influence and interact in society in a compelling and responsible way.
Beyond campus, studying art in the heart of Boston's Fenway neighborhood presents unique access to world-class museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum, as well as professional artist communities, open studio events and gallery exhibits. Emmanuel’s participation in the Colleges of the Fenway consortium also enables students to expand their course offerings by taking classes such as glass blowing and bronze casting at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Boston is also a city rich in inspiration and education. As studio artists, photographers or graphic designers, students can soak up the flavors of a city rich in culture. Every texture, color, billboard, street sign, graffiti or museum presents an opportunity to be inspired.
