Bio

Janice Bell Meisenhelder served on the faculty and as former Generalist Level Chair at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, Graduate Nursing Program, Boston. Her previous teaching experience also includes Boston University and Northeastern University. She was the Director of the Center for Nursing Research at New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston, MA. She earned a BS degree from Wagner College, Staten Island, NY, and both a Master's of Science and Doctorate of Nursing Science from the School of Nursing at Boston University. Her most recent focus of scholarship has been spiritual coping, now applied to the area of maternal bereavement. Dr. Meisenhelder is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Eastern Nursing Research Society.
