Vision Statement

Recognizing the vital role Emmanuel College plays in sparking student interest in service and the advancement of justice and peace, as well as instillng a comprehensive understanding of how cultures and beliefs interact on an international scale, the Office of International Programs lists four integral components to accomplishing its mission:

  • To work with faculty, staff, administrators, and domestic and international students to provide the student body with opportunities for cultural competency development and growth
  • To provide faculty with the training, guidance and resources to plan, develop and lead short-term programs abroad
  • To collaborate with the Emmanuel College community to ease the cross-cultural transition of international students and to advise these students on how to ensure their continued academic and social success while making significant contributions to overall awareness of international issues on campus
  • To develop new domestic and international programs that would allow Emmanuel College to extend its classroom to areas beyond the Boston metropolitan area and present students with new opportunities for personal and academic growth
