Financial Aid
Note: You must be accepted to the College before you can be awarded financial aid. To apply for financial aid, the following applications are required:
1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The 2010-2011 FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.gov. In order to complete the FAFSA online, both student and parent require a PIN number to access, make corrections and electronically sign the FAFSA. To obtain a PIN, please visit www.pin.ed.gov. To reduce processing time, we encourage students and parents to complete the FAFSA online; however the paper version of this application may be obtained from your high school guidance office or from our office. The Emmanuel College Title IV Code is 002147.

Deadlines
Start Date: September 2010
The deadlines for applying for Emmanuel scholarships are: January 15, 2010 for first-year students and April 1, 2010 for fall semester transfers.
Start Date: January 2011
The deadline for applying for Emmanuel scholarships is: November 1, 2010 for both first-year students and spring semester transfers.
To receive priority consideration for financial aid for the 2010-2011 academic year, our office must receive the 2010-2011 FAFSA and Emmanuel College Application for Financial Aid no later than April 1, 2010. To meet this priority filing date, you should mail or submit the FAFSA to the federal processor on or before March 1, 2010 to allow for processing time.

Verification
Verification is a process by the federal government in which the federal processor randomly selects student's FAFSA submissions to be verified. You will be notified by the Emmanuel College OSFS if your have been selected for verification. If you have been selected for verification, you and your family will be required to provide us with the following:
- Signed copies of the Student's 2009 Federal Tax Return
- Signed copies of the Parent's 2009 Federal Tax Return
- The Emmanuel College Verification Worksheet (available on the Emmanuel Portal)
