Required Federal Loan Documentation
To complete the application process for a Federal Stafford Loan or a Federal Perkins Loan, you must complete both a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Loan Entrance Counseling. Please follow the instructions below. If this paperwork is not completed, the loan(s) will not be credited to your tuition bill.
Federal Stafford Loan Borrowers
- Complete your Federal Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling through Mapping-Your-Future. Once you have completed the entrance counseling, you will receive a confirmation number.
- Complete and e-sign a Federal Stafford MPN with American Student Assistance (ASA). Once you arrive at the ASA Direct website, choose the "Are you a first time user?" option to create a login ID and password. *** Please note: your FAFSA PIN is required to complete your Master Promissory Note online. If you do not have one, obtain a PIN through the Department of Education.
Federal Perkins Loan Borrowers
- Complete your Federal Perkins Loan Entrance Counseling through Mapping-Your-Future. Once you have completed the entrance counseling, you will receive a confirmation number.
- Complete and e-sign a Federal Perkins Loan MPN with ACS Education Services (ACS).
