Counseling Center

What Services Are Offered?

What services are offered?

All of our services are free. However, a referral to a specialist or outside therapy may require insurance and a service fee. Our services are available to all undergraduate students. We offer a variety of mental health services, including:

  • Short-term and ongoing counseling
  • Crisis intervention
  • Outside referral
  • Medication evaluation and treatment
  • Group Counseling and Educational Workshops

Short-term Counseling:

We provide short term and crisis intervention to all undergraduate students. We offer 8-10 counseling sessions per student or roughly the equivalent of one semester. However, there are many students who seek counseling throughout their college career.

Outside Referrals:

Those requiring long term therapy or a specialist are referred to a counselor or therapist in the Greater Boston area. Students can receive help in finding out their insurance benefit information and a list of providers that best meet his or her mental health needs. Contact the Counseling Center for a referral appointment.

Group Counseling and Educational Workshops:

Group therapy and educational workshops led by the Counseling Center staff are offered each semester based on the needs of the student population. Group topics on grief, learning about healthy relationships, leadership development, and stress management are a few programs that have been offered. If you are interested in joining a group or if you would like information on a potential workshop please contact the Counseling Center.
