L.E.A.D.E.R.S.

The L.E.A.D.E.R.S. program is designed to enhance the development of students during their college career. By promoting involvement and providing incentive to make a contribution to collegiate life, L.E.A.D.E.R.S. is a doorway for students to become effective members of society. The program helps to nourish and reward the life learning that takes place inside and outside the classroom. Through L.E.A.D.E.R.S. you will enrich your college experience and it will equip you with the skills to success in your future work, and more importantly, your life.

The L.E.A.D.E.R.S. program is open to any Emmanuel College student that wants to grow actively as a leader on campus and become involved in the Boston community. As a member of the L.E.A.D.E.R.S. program, you will not only attend fun events, but also you will be recognized for your time. Students who complete the program receive a co-curricular transcript, graduation cord, and a letter of recommendation from the Vice-President of Student Affairs at Emmanuel College.

The L.E.A.D.E.R.S. program focuses on seven specific areas of development:

Leadership - demonstrating responsibility and initiative, giving time and talent to generate activities and experiences that contribute to vibrant co-curricular life.

Educational Achievement - making a strong commitment to academic achievement through coursework and showing a successful balance between inside the classroom and areas of involvement. 
 

Activities - attending programs and/or participation in clubs, organizations, and teams.

Dedication to Service - giving back to the community through volunteer work.

Exploration - utilizing Boston as an extended classroom: attendance at museums, concerts, sporting and cultural events. 

Relationships - development of healthy, independent and interdependent self, commitment to personal wellness and global understanding.

Spirituality - examining, exploring and strengthening a relationship with God, finding meaning and a sense of direction, attaining inner peace.
