About Orientation

To welcome you into our community, we provide an Orientation program that is designed to make the transition to Emmanuel as seamless as possible for you and your family.
This comprehensive program will include an assessment of foundation skills, course selection, several placement examinations, academic advising, educational sessions and a chance to meet your classmates. It will also provide you with the information you will need to become an active, successful and contributing member of the Emmanuel College community!
During Orientation, all campus offices will be open (i.e. Residence Life and Housing, Student Financial Services, Admissions, etc.) to answer any questions you may have. You will have your photo taken for your student ID and will receive this ID when you come back in the fall. All your meals will be provided while you are on campus, but you may want to bring a small amount of spending money if you wish to purchase any Emmanuel gear from our bookstore. Parking is available for anyone staying on campus.

Orientation Leader Staff
When you arrive for Orientation, you will be greeted by 26 student Orientation Leaders (OLs). These students have been selected to welcome you, answer questions, and introduce you to Emmanuel's beautiful 17-acre campus and all of the College's student services. OLs come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, including different class years and majors, and participate in a variety of co-curricular activities. During Orientation, these leaders will also meet with parents and families to answer questions and provide their own student perspective. They are here to help guide you and are very excited for your arrival!
