Residence Life

First-Year Residence Halls
Leaving home, adjusting to all that Boston has to offer, making new friends, and learning how to study for college classes are just a few examples of the challenges that face first-year students at Emmanuel College.

The First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) program is designed to build community among the first-year students and assist in their transition to college life. The FYRE program takes place in Loretto and St. Ann Halls.

Learning Communities
The Science Living-Learning Community
is an optional program open by invitation only to first-year students considering a major in biology, biochemistry, biostatistics and chemistry.

Resident Hall Council
Resident hall council members are given the opportunity to partake in programming and address the issues and concerns of student residents.

RA Programming
Resident Assistants work in the four on-campus residence halls as well as the satellite locations that Emmanuel College has provided as residences. The Resident Assistant's primary mission is to be available in the residence halls to assist other students. Major areas of responsibility are community building, programming, emergency response, and administration.
