I took an amazing trip to Rome during Spring Break with my class, Religious Traditions in Rome. We visited 20 churches, and were able to attend Masses at the Vatican, the catacombs and St. Mary Major Basilica. Before the trip, we developed questions, did readings and conducted research, but nothing could compare with actually being there and experiencing the city and its culture first-hand.
This opportunity is just one of the reasons why I love Emmanuel. Because it's a liberal arts and sciences college, I am able to explore areas of study outside of my majors. The professors here are very understanding, and the small classes—particularly my science classes—allow for a lot of in-depth discussion and exploration.
Another reason why I love Emmanuel? Because of the strong academic support system, I’m also able to be a varsity athlete and captain of the tennis team. Last season we made it to our conference championship. This season we hope to win it all!
