I always knew I wanted to study abroad in London. When I came across a program that offered an internship while there, Professor of Art Kathy Soles convinced me to go for it. She said it would be something unique to take away from the whole experience. She was right.
Interning with Modus Publicity, a fashion public relations firm located in London's Piccadilly Circus, I helped with press events and photo shoots and even got the chance to meet celebrities. Although I plan on pursuing a career in branding, it broadened my options and opened my eyes to other career paths that could be of interest.
In addition to my internship, I studied at Richmond University and traveled almost every weekend to places like Dublin, Whales, Athens and Paris. It was a great personal experience with a kick - an internship that will stand out to potential employers as something truly different.
