I was an intern with the Probation Department of Brookline District Court. The most appealing aspects of this internship were exposure to real trial proceedings, a supervisor who was willing to answer my questions and the opportunity to actively participate in the cases.
This experience will benefit my future simply through my observations of attorneys at work. By gaining a better understanding of the field, my conviction to attend law school upon graduation has been strengthened. Nothing is comparable to the experience you gain through internships, it is a vital step towards future success. Taking advantage of these opportunities not only helps you to develop your skills, but also helps you develop a new level of professionalism which is critical—no matter what career path you choose.
