Major: Graphic Design

When I saw the graphic design internship posting for the Emmanuel College Office of Marketing Communications (OMC), I immediately  knew that it was the perfect fit for me. While working on the the College’s yearbook staff, I would often go into the OMC office and I always noticed different projects on the bulletin board that really caught my attention. I could just see myself interning in this office.

I was able to take part in the process of creating flyers, posters, brochures and other print materials. I now not only recognize Emmanuel’s visual identity but I understand the significance of the brand and marketing concepts from a graphic design perspective. The internship experience is so beneficial to students because it allows them to bring their skills and knowledge into a ‘real world’ setting. In the end, when you see your work out in circulation, you feel that you have had your hand in history. It is so exciting to be able to say to someone, ‘I made that!’
