Associate Analyst for BAE Systems, Washington, D.C.

I gained a lot of self-confidence through my leadership roles and interactions with members of the community while at Emmanuel. Faculty and staff really pushed me to go out and get internship experience. The contacts I have made through those positions have been invaluable.

As a student, I was able to intern for both Senator Ted Kennedy and former Governor Mitt Romney. Those experiences played a big role in my decision to accept a yearlong fellowship at the Governor's Office of Management and Budget in Springfield, Illinois after graduation. It was interesting to be able to observe the different processes employed in such diverse political climates.

Currently, I work as an analyst for BAE Systems in Washington, D.C. This position has proven to be another educational step as I'm now getting to work on the side of the public sector. Being able to take advantage of all the historic and cultural offerings of living in our nation's capitol? Well that's just icing on the cake.
