The Center was designed by Goody Clancy and is being built by Walsh Brothers, Incorporated.

Set to open in 2009, the new Maureen Murphy Wilkens Science Center will further the educational mission of the college by significantly increasing opportunities for interactive teaching and learning and will enable the College to better prepare students in the fields of science and beyond.

The construction of a the Maureen Murphy Wilkens Science Center, adjacent to the historic Administration Building, reflects Emmanuel's goal of building distinctive academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences by leveraging Emmanuel's unique location in Boston and in the heart of the Longwood Medical Area.
