Welcome to Emmanuel College!
We are a coed, residential Catholic liberal arts and sciences college located in the heart of Boston. Founded in 1919 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, our 17-acre campus in the city’s Fenway area is home to over 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students representing 35 countries and 33 states and territories.

Administration Building
The first thing you’ll notice upon entering our campus is our historic Administration Building. Designed by the award-winning architectural firm, Maginnis & Walsh, this nearly 90-year-old building is the landmark structure of our campus. It is home to administration and staff offices, the chapel and many of our classrooms.

Our Academics
We are known for the quality of our values-based education and offer a supportive learning environment that fosters academic excellence, intellectual integrity and a strong social conscience. The world of liberal arts and sciences is about being transformed and driven by ideas. Our 14:1 student-faculty ratio ensures you'll engage in intimate discussions to pursue those ideas.

International Opportunities
Our study abroad program expands the mind, invigorates the spirit and offers a global context and perspective that will stay with you for life. Choose from more than 500 programs in 70 countries to spend a year, semester, summer or school break abroad. Emmanuel students have studied everywhere from Australia and Russia to China and Uganda.

Spiritual Life
The Chapel, sitting in the heart of the Emmanuel Campus, is home to a long history of College traditions. The stained glass windows have lit the way for generations of students as they marched towards Baccalaureate or celebrated Christmas Mass. Our Campus Ministry staff supports students of all faiths. Through a variety of student-focused ministries, programs and discussions, they’ll challenge and encourage you to put your beliefs into action.
