Degree Requirements

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS MAT, INITIAL LICENSURE (part-time evening program)

The program is designed to meet the requirements issued by the Massachusetts Department of Education to prepare students for an Initial Teaching License on the elementary level (grades 1-6) or on the secondary level (grades 8-12). The program may also be structured for individuals looking to enter the teaching profession who have an undergraduate or graduate degree outside education. For licensure, candidates must pass the appropriate MTEL (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure) exams.
