Graduate Programs in Biopharmaceutical Leadership

Emmanuel College's Graduate Programs in Biopharmaceutical Leadership provide flexible and innovative educational opportunities for Amgen scientists who excel in the lab and lead matrix teams.

Those working in the dynamic world of biopharmaceuticals impact some of the largest global health initiatives in the world. Through a rigorous curriculum created by leading science experts from top biopharmaceutical industry sites, Emmanuel College responds to the specialized needs of scientists with management responsibilities by providing opportunities to gain critical leadership skills and expand professional networks.

In its inaugural class, the Graduate Programs in Biopharamceutical Leadership received support from AstraZeneca and Merck.  John Constantine, MPI Executive Director and Dean, speaks to the necessity of this academic experience in a recorded webinar session.  The program has also been featured in articles in the Boston Business Journal and the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Amgen supports Emmanuel's Graduate Programs in Biopharmaceutical Leadership as an opportunity for its science employees to develop management knowledge and skills.  Amgen employees may also use company-sponsored tuition reimbursement to enroll in the program on an individual basis.  For more information, please e-mail Chris Barr at cbarr@amgen.com.

“My experience with the Biopharmaceutical Leadership program has been impressive. It has opened my eyes to many tools and practices that teams/leaders need to implement to be highly effective. It improved my analytical skills helping me identify the pertinent issues in teams and organizations in addition to providing me with a repertoire of possible solutions that I can apply to solve these issues.”
