Beyond the Classroom

Going to school in Boston opens doors to new experiences in political science. Students concentrating in American Politics don't just read about the foundations of democracy, they find themselves walking the same streets our founding fathers walked. International Relations students become immersed in a city of vibrant cultures with opportunities to volunteer with immigrants and travel abroad. And all students have the chance to pursue internships at the Massachusetts State House and at consulates throughout the city.

Internship Opportunities

Emmanuel students have interned at such sites as the Massachusetts State House, the Israeli Consulate, the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus, and the Plymouth County District Attorney. Learn more »

Travel Abroad

Students have the opportunity to spend a semester, year, summer or break abroad. Students can choose from opportunities through the Political Science Department, which currently offers trips to Greece in the spring and summer, or learn more about additional offerings through the Office of International Programs.

Colleges of the Fenway
