Scott Gagnon received his Master of Arts in Theatrical Directing from Emerson College in 1994. He has served as a faculty advisor and director of the Emmanuel College Theater Guild since 1999. At Emmanuel, Scott has been involved as a director of productions with the Emmanuel College Theater Guild since 1999. He has directed its productions of "Annie," "Once Upon a Mattress," "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," "Museum," and "Merrily We Roll Along," oversaw and advised student-directed productions of "The Actor's Nightmare" and "All in the Timing" and appeared onstage in "Jake's Women." He began teaching as an adjunct in 2000 and is proud to have joined the faculty full-time in 2001. Currently serving as the Guild's faculty advisor, he looks forward to more growth and excitement in the coming year, developing a new course in technical theater and planning workshops and further participation for Emmanuel in the American College Theater Festival. In addition to his duties with the Emmanuel Theater, Scott has used his experience working with a professional editing firm to provide professional writing assistance to students at the College's Academic Resource Center.

Professional Highlights
Scott has served on the panel for the Clauder Competition, a national playwriting contest. He has directed and acted in over 50 professional and semiprofessional productions, and has had his work nominated for awards and recognition repeatedly from the Independent Reviewers of New England and the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theaters. In 1995 one of his original musicals was premiered at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York.
Scott currently serves as an adjudicator for the Kennedy Center/ACTF Region One, evaluating college theater throughout New England. He is also the founder and chair of the Boston Theater Bridge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging new performers, writers and theatrical technicians from college to professional theater. With this organization Scott has produced and directed a number of successful shows and also run workshops and educational theater presentations for young audiences. He has also developed a course in Drama Therapy for retarded adults, which he teaches weekends through the Natick Recreation department.
