Teacher Licensure in Foreign Language (Spanish)

Modifications in state licensure for teachers have resulted in significant changes in the course requirements for teacher candidates, including changes in requirements for liberal arts and science courses, as well as education courses. Students seeking teacher licensure in Spanish must complete a major in Spanish as well as complete required education courses and student teaching. Education requirements are available through the education department. Students seeking Initial Licensure in Massachusetts must pass the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL)
