Class of 2006

Megan Paszko was featured in a lengthy article in the Haverhill Gazette for her many athletic and academic accomplishments during her four years at Emmanuel College. As an undergrad, Megan played soccer, basketball, and softball and ran cross country. As the quintessential student-athlete, Megan was honored with Emmanuel's Senior Academic Award, was named a Nation Fast-pitch Coaches Association Scholar Athlete and was nominated for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Softball Team. May/June 2006

Stephanie Ruest was featured in the "SouthCoast Today" section of the Standard Times for her volunteer work. After four years of undergraduate studies in biology and psychology, Stephanie traveled to Romania for a three-week period with the Global Volunteers not-for-profit organization. Her work included tending a 39-bed unit in a "failure to thrive" clinic, caring for children ranging from newborns to three years old. July/Aug 2006

Jenn Dunphy was featured in Townonline for her campaign work on Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chris Gabrieli's campaign team. Before joining Gabrieli's campaign, Jenn gained experience working for Massachusetts Senator John Kerry's 2004 bid for the presidency. July/Aug 2006

Class of 2005

Serghino Rene is working at Success Advertising in Framingham, MA. He has also been working as a proofreader, copywriter and freelance reporter for the Boston Banner (also known as the Bay State Banner), a community newspaper in Boston. Serghino has articles coming out almost every week, so keep a look out. January/February 2006

Jeffrey Ciulla (B.S.B.A.) joined Atlas Dental Insurance Company as a sales and broker relations executive. He has over a decade of experience in the industry. January/February 2006

Danielle Warren has been working with Fidelity Investments in the Legal Product Group since December 2005. She also recently moved to a beautiful townhouse in Beverly, MA. July/Aug 2006

Jaimie Jandovitz was featured in the "Boston Works" section of the Boston Globe for her work as a junior graphic designer for Smart Destinations, and for her advice for job searching as a new college graduate. Jaimie's advice to upcoming college graduates is "Definitely intern as much as you can... my college required it, but not all do. It's the kind of thing that employers want to see. They feel more confident if they know you have that experience." September/October 2005

Ainsley Lake is pursuing an MBA degree in the fall of 2005. July/August 2005

Celeste Kantarges has been working as a personnel administrator at Amego Inc. in Mansfield while she is pursuing an accelerated master's degree in human resources management at Emmanuel College. In her position as a personnel administrator, Celeste handles hiring, recruiting and employee benefits. She was highlighted in an article in The Metrowest Daily News. July/August 2005

On June 12, 2005, CityLine, a show Serghino Rene produced for his internship, aired on Channel 5. Serghino did the writing, chose the video, coordinated its presentation and wrote the ledes, questions, etc. for the host. May/June 2005

Paulette Johnson was hired as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Dean College for the 2005-2006 season, where her primary responsibilities will be post player conditioning and development, game strategy, practice planning, and recruiting. May/June 2005

Class of 2004

Rochelle Zawaduk will be speaking as one of four panelists at the Emmanuel Business Association's Women in Business panel in March 2006. She will speak from her experiences at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., which is the oldest and largest partnership bank in the United States. January/February 2006

Katherine Denham married Benjamin Smith of Santa Maria, California in July. The wedding was held at the Martha-Mary Chapel in Sudbury, MA. May/June 2006

Jennifer Field (M.A.T.) was featured in an article in the The Boston Globe on January 1, 2006 that focused upon Jennifer's accomplishments in the Peace Corps. She spent two years in Africa with the Peace Corps and was most recently awarded a fellowship by the Earthwatch Institute to study Jökuls, or glaciers, in Iceland. Jennifer works as a science teacher at Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton, MA and will present a slide show of her experiences in Iceland on January 11th, from 7-8 p.m., at the Marlborough Public Library. Marina Dang was chosen by her graduate program at Brandeis to receive an Outstanding Teaching Fellow Award for 2004-2005. She received the award from the Dean of the Brandeis Graduate School of Arts and Sciences on May 3, 2005. March/April 2005

Bhartiben Patel is currently pursuing a master's of science in gerontology at the University of Massachusetts. She works as an ophthalmic technician at Boston Medical Center and continues to reside in the Boston area. November/December 2004

Hieu Vu traveled to Washington, DC in September 2004 as a representative of Lutheran Social Services-Foster Care program. September/October 2004

Class of 2003

Danielle DiRosa graduated from the University of South Florida (USF) with a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2005. She is currently working at USF in residence services. She is a Residence Life Coordinator supervising 18 resident assistants, two graduate assistants, and approximately 850 students. November/December 2006

Barbara Drottar has completed her masters in nursing at Regis College. She passed the family nurse practitioner certification exam in July, 2005. Barbara notes that Emmanuel College prepared her well for her subsequent academic endeavors. September/October 2005

Kathleen Riley Kinnenn (M.S.M) has been appointed to assistant professor at the School of Business and Management of Newbury College. Kathleen will now be teaching principles of management and organizational theory at Newbury College. Kathleen, a long time resident of Methuen, now resides in Cambridge. September/October 2005

Catherine DiPerri is getting married on June 11, 2005. She has purchased a new home in Deerfield, NH, and she works in the field of cancer research. March/April 2005

Jennifer Logan is finishing her second year as a special education teacher for emotionally and behaviorally handicapped students. She is currently enrolled in a graduate program through CLL of NH to obtain her masters in education of emotionally and behaviorally handicapped. She is getting married on October 9, 2005. March/April 2005

Carrie Brown recently began a Ph.D. program in Experimental Developmental Psychology at St. Louis University. She has the distinguished honor of being one of the new recipients of the St. Louis University's Diversity Fellowship. November/December 2006

Lauren Mansfield married Christopher Bonneau on July 4, 2006. Lauren has been working at St. Brendan School as a third grade teacher since 2002. May/June 2006

Kristin Lampros married Paul Balutis on September 24, 2006. The wedding was held in the bride's hometown of Ipwich, MA. They are currently living in Shrewsbury, MA. September/October 2006

Patricia Leon from Quito, Ecuador and Maria Del Carmen Keilhauer ('60) of Guatemala City, Guatemala joined Emmanuel Admissions Counselor Roystone Martinez in representing Emmanuel College at a College Fair in Latin America. September/October 2006

Kristin Lampros is engaged to Paul Balutis. They are planning a Fall 2006 wedding. The couple currently resides in their home in Shrewsbury, MA. November/December 2005

In November 2005, Raymond Drapeau (B.S. in Business Administration) was elected to the Alderman Ward 7 seat in Woburn, MA. This was Raymond's third campaign for the position and it proved victorious with a 300-vote victory. Raymond's top three priorities are taxes, city services and education. In addition to his role on Ward 7, Raymond is a division manager at Invensys ENE Inc. in Canton, MA. November/December 2005

Raymond Drapeau (BSBA program) submitted his signatures for nomination of candidacy for Alderman in Ward 7 in Woburn, Massachusetts. Raymond has been a Woburn resident for over 25 years and has resided in Ward 7 for 22 of those years. Currently, Raymond works for Invensys, a global automation, controls and process solutions group. Along with his wife and two children, Raymond looks forward to a "spirited campaign" and hopes to succeed in his third attempt at the Office of Alderman in Ward 7. July/August 2005

Christina (Tina) Sullivan received a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies and has started her career as a physician's assistant in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at UMass Memorial Health Center in Worcester, MA. May/June 2005

Erin Tracy was appointed an account executive at Regan Communications Group, a full-service public relations agency based in Boston. March/April 2005

Laura Grande has resigned from her position at Emmanuel to take on the position of music director at her home parish, St. Mary Magdalene in Dracut, MA. Though she is sad to leave Emmanuel, she is very excited to take on this new responsibility in the field she has trained in for so long. Laura would like to thank everyone at Emmanuel for their friendships and encouragement over the years. "I could not have done it without my Emmanuel family" she says. September/October 2004

Class of 2001

Kelly Davidson Barnes married Kevin Barnes on August 27, 2005. She and Kevin began dating during Kelly's freshman year at Emmanuel. After the wedding the couple cruised the Baltic and returned to a newly built home and Kelly started a new job as litigation support specialist with a law firm. September/October 2005

Shannon Rose Madore was married on October 9, 2005. It was a beautiful wedding, and all is well with her. September/October 2005

Sarah Consentino began a new job in December 2004 as the Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She continues to be involved in singing and musical theater. January/February 2005

Kelly MacDonald graduated from Simmons Graduate School of Social Work in May 2004 and received her license to practice social work in Massachusetts in September 2005. Kelly currently does home based work in the Metro west area, working with children and their families. She and her boyfriend, Chris, own a townhouse in Hopkinton where they live with their two cats. January/February 2005

Danielle Radford is moving back to Massachusetts from Maryland this winter. She plans to pursue a career in writing and develop her passion for photography. January/February 2005

Deidre Treffiletti is working at Cumberland Housing Authority. She continues to provide economic self sufficiency and homeownership case management to low income families. She now lives on Cape Cod. January/February 2005

Jeffrey Kasica is a Christian father working in financial management services at Holmes Investment Management Inc. in East Bridgewater, MA. He has three daughters, ages two, four, and five, who attend Brockton Christian School. November/December 2004

Sarah Consentino has been employed by Brigham and Woman's since 2001 as a communications associate. She also performs in local theater productions. Nov/Dec 2003

Tracey M. Kelley has been promoted to vice president controller at South Shore Savings Bank. Sept/Oct 2003.

Kate McKenna is currently living in Rhode Island, working in a Quaker Independent School for Girls, nursery through grade 12. She helps in the marketing/promotion process of the school. She is also a part-time waitress. Winter 2003.

Class of 2000

Stephen Needham has been a member of the Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences since July 2005. He is currently leading capital project management organizations responsible for the design renovation and construction of 240 buildings. All of the buildings combined consist of over 8 million square feet of academic, research, student housing, athletic, and administrative space. November/December 2006

We are proud to announce that William C. Palladino is now Rev. William C. Palladino. He was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Boston in May 2006. His ordination and first mass were attended by Professor Chris Vickers, one of his professors in the ECAP program. November/December 2006

Kerri Dixon completed her MBA in 2005 at Simmons College and is currently living in Boston. She presently works at the Boston Stock Exchange as a Senior Compliance Examiner of the Boston Option Exchange (a subsidiary of the Boston Stock Exchange). July/Aug 2006

Kathleen Aucoin began teaching fifth grade at the Fowler School in Concord in August 2004. She previously taught fourth grade at the Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole and fifth and sixth grades at the South Worcester Country Educational Collaborative. March/April 2006

In November 2004, Megan Houpt was promoted to Information Technology Specialist and Phone Administrator in the IT Department of FamiliesFirst, Inc. She continues to live in Davis, CA and is happily married to James Stark. March/April 2005

Tanisha Moore was recently engaged and is planning a wedding for May 27, 2006. She is also in the process of completing her master's in teaching at Emmanuel and hopes to graduate in December 2005. January/February 2005

Kristina Haeussler Keyton married her husband, James, in August 2003. They recently moved to Texas so he could return to the family business. Due to the move, Kristina transferred to Texas Tech University. She is in the Human Development and Family Studies Ph.D. program (part of the College of Human Sciences). While she continues to pursue her Ph.D., she became an Independent Business Owner. Kristina's company is called CyerbWize.com. November/December 2004

Megan Houpt is happily married and directing children's musicals while continuing her work as an administrator at a social services agency serving northern California. September/October 2004

Maryann Garlick Haraldsen has been working at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA since graduating from Emmanuel. In September 2004, she started her own company, Garlick Press, which she runs on the side after work. She and her husband purchased an 80-year old house in June of 2003. Maryann stated, "It's been a busy year to say the least and I hope all are well." September/October 2004

Nicole Gearty opened her own business on September 15, 2003. It is a paint-your-own-pottery studio in Bridgewater, MA. It has been very successful! May/June 2004

Elizabeth DeMarco is a marketing and sales account manager at Costa Eagle Broadcasting. She received a Master's degree in Communications Management from Simmons College. Mar/Apr 2004

Camil le de Marchena was an art consultant at Wentworth Gallery for two years. She now attends Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, where she will earn a Master's in Fine and Decorative Art. Upon graduation, she hopes to work for Sotheby's or another auction house. Mar/Apr 2004

Kate McKenna works in Public Relations for Lincoln School and waitresses at a Eurasian bistro. She lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. Mar/Apr 2004

Sonya Harris recently self-published her first novel, Guilty Pleasures, a story about love, life and social drama. The core of the novel deals with the many pleasures that keep us addicted to bad relationships, splurging at the mall, you name it. Although the material is novel in nature, the book encourages self-help ideas through scripture and words of wisdom. Jan/Feb 2004

Karen I. Giffen passed the certification exam to become a Certified Meeting Professional. She and her husband Kevin are expecting twins in June. Spring 2002
