Shannon Mullins Carneiro gave birth to her second daughter, Samantha Jo, on September 3, 2005. Shannon married Nelson Carneiro in October 2002. Her first daughter, McKenzie Rose, was born in July 2003. Shannon is working per diem as a counselor at Cambridge Hospital's child psychiatric unit. Otherwise, she is an at-home mom enjoying the company of her two daughters, residing in Somerville, MA. September/October 2005

Corrine Dirrane is working for Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center, a non-profit organization located on Thompson Island in Boston Harbor. Corrie takes a ferry to work every day and is happy to announce that the school she works for on the island (The Willauer School) is going co-ed in fall 2003! Spring/Summer 2003.
Laura Zickell was recently elected director of philanthropy and community relations at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough. She has seven years of experience in health-care fund-raising and six years experience in accounting, earning designation as a certified public accountant. On May 10, 2005, Amanda Ciccarello Walker had a baby boy, Eric James Walker, who weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces and was just over four weeks premature! Rebecca Consentino Hains is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Mass Media and Communication at Temple University in Philadelphia. She successfully defended her comprehensive exams and dissertation proposal, titled, "Negotiating girl power: Girlhood on screen and in everyday life," in October 2005. She has used her research on girls' media as the basis of many scholarly presentations and several publications. She lives in Drexel Hill, PA with her husband, Tyler. March/April 2006
Heather Martin graduated in May 2006 from Kansas State University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has moved back to Boston to begin a residency at MIT in laboratory animal medicine. May/June 2006

On October 19, 2005, Alison Ravins (M.A.) was the guest speaker at the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce's Business Breakfast Forum entitled, "Best HR Practices for Small Businesses." Alison's talk covered many areas of human resource issues, including inter-office issue resolutions and methods of hiring and firing employees. Alison began her own consulting business, Alta Consulting Group in 2001, and she is an active member of the Human Resources Council in Boston, the Society of Human Resources Management, the North Shore Women in Business, and the Boston Women's Network. Patricia Lawson has been retired due to health problems, but finds that she loves the time she can devote to painting again. Sr. Atema Eclai, SND, currently the director of programs for the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, was the guest speaker at First Parish, Unitarian Universalist on March 26, 2006. Her topic was "Radical Gratitude Rooted in Economic Justice." Sr. Atema Eclai, SND is a lifelong human rights activist. Most notably, Sr. Atema has worked with Kenyan and Sudanese women across tribal conflict lines to prevent children from going to war, talked with members of Parliament about rape committed by soldiers at refugee camps, and taken on traditionally male roles to fulfill the needs of their communities. Nobuko Matsuo Isaka wrote to inform the Emmanuel community of the death of her sister, Ariko Matsuo Emmanuel College fulfilling and challenging. After returning to Japan, Ariko dedicated herself to a successful career in technical support at IBM Japan Co. and then at Video Technica Co. Ltd., a company dealing with security systems. Nobuko remembers her sister's warm spirit and kindness, as well as her constant willingness to help others. Akiro passed away on December 16, 2005, at the young age of 36, due to cancer. March/April 2006
