Location in Boston: The North End
Place on Campus: The quad when it is nice out. The Corner Pocket when it isn't nice out!
Thing about EC: At Emmanuel people know your name and know your face and both the faculty and student are unexpectedly friendly, but at the same time you are constantly meeting new people.
Class: Intro to Chemistry. Even though I have never been a fan of Chemistry, this class was really engaging and there were a lot of demonstrations that helped me like Chemistry. The labratory component of this course was also really exciting and made me excited about future chemistry classes I'll be taking.
Why Emmanuel? For a few reasons, Emmanuel has the best of both worlds. It is a small, secluded campus with a beautiful quad, and at the same time is is part of the Colleges of the Fenway. I have the option to be 1/1800 Emmanuel students or 1/12,000 Colleges of the Fenway students which is a true unique experience. I also love the location - right next to Fenway Park, but so close to all that Boston has to offer. I also came because the Biology program was great and going to be a good type of challenging for me and because there are so many great opportunities to get involved.
If you were trapped on an island, list 3 things you would want: A mirror, fishing gear, and my best friends.
What do you want to be when you grow-up? When I grow up I want someone who makes a difference in other people's lives. I love helping people and so right now, I'm channeling that into a career path of becoming a doctor.
