Alumni

The Office of Internships & Career Development continues to assist all Emmanuel graduates after commencement. Alumni are offered access to any of our subscription or free resources, and are able to utilize one career advising appointment each year. We encourage alumni to stay connected and assist current Emmanuel students through a number of opportunities, including:

Career Panels

Hosted on campus several times each year, career panels bring together leaders in the field together from multiple industries for a facilitated session on current and future trends in the sector.

Mock Interviews

Serving as a mock employer can be a rewarding experience, and an opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni. Students seek your feedback and recommendations as they hone their skills and practice interviewing with today's professionals.

Shadowing

Host an Emmanuel student for a day to see what a "day in the life" is like at your work setting. These shadow experiences allow you to connect with talented students, and foster an opportunity for a student to better understand your career field.

Informational Interviews

Serve as a contact for current Emmanuel students who have an interest in learning more about your industry, employer, or career path. Just 20 minutes of your time can make a huge difference in a current student's understanding of the field and build their confidence significantly.

The Alumni Association

Connect with recent and past alumni to network, participate in reunion activities, and to engage with your alma mater.

Create an EC3 (Emmanuel College Career Connect) Account

EC3 is a career info management system for Emmanuel students and alumni. Search for jobs, internships, career events, volunteer opportunities, and more. Upload your resumes, cover letters and references, and store them safely and securely. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with employers, reconnect with other alumni and sign up for reminders about events and new postings.

Parents

Parenting a college student is a challenging and rewarding experience. Here are some of the ways that you can assist your student throughout their college experience:

Remind your student about our office.

Your student may be unaware that the Office of Internships & Career Development is available to them from the time they enter college as a freshman or transfer student, and our support continues when they are alumni. Encourage your student to seek our resources and take advantage of what we have to offer. Our office is also available for all students after they graduate.

Seek resources for parents of college students.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has excellent information for parents of college students. We recommend reading their information on assisting and supporting your college student's career development throughout their four years at college. Find their resources here »

Post a job, internship, or other opportunity for students.

Internships and work experience are an excellent way for current students to explore careers and grow as adults. We are always looking for excellent internship opportunities and encourage parents to consider sponsoring an intern at their place of business. Also, we encourage parents who are responsible for the hiring function within their organizations to post open positions (full-time, part-time, or seasonal) with our office. Positions can be posted quickly and easily in EC3: Emmanuel College Career Connect.
