Emmanuel To Host Bay State Summer Games Basketball

Emmanuel will host the Bay State Summer Games boys' and girls' basketball contests on July 8th-10th. Games will be played in the Jean Yawkey Center gymnasium.
Organized by The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation (MASF), the Bay State Summer Games has provided quality Olympic-style athletic competitions and developmental programs for Massachusetts' amateur athletes of all ages and abilities since 1982. More than 7,000 athletes representing over 300 Massachusetts communities have taken part in the Summer Games, which run from July 5th-18th.
Emmanuel has hosted the Bay State Summer Games at the Jean Yawkey Center gymnasium since 2006.
"It is our privilege to host Bay State Basketball again this year," said Director of Athletics & Recreation Pam Roecker. "Boys, girls and their families from all over the state gain exposure to college facilities throughout Boston, and we are excited about our opportunity to showcase the Yawkey Center gymnasium and our campus over this three-day event. This is a wonderful partnership that we hope will continue for many years to come."
The Summer Games offer competitions in archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, baton twirling, bowling, diving, fencing, field hockey, flag football, ice hockey, judo, juniors basketball, lacrosse, pistol shooting, rifle shooting, soccer, softball, swimming, synchronized swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, trap shooting, volleyball, weight lifting, wrestling, 6-vs-6 field hockey, and 7-vs-7 soccer.
