Gribaudo ’83 Honored with 2012 Distinguished Alumnae Award

Monica Gribaudo '83 was presented Emmanuel College's Distinguished Alumnae Award in recognition of her long-term success as a mathematics teacher at Boston Latin School. Gribaudo accepted her award as part of the Emmanuel education department's "Celebrate Teaching" event held in the Fenway Room on May 9th.

During the ceremony, Gribaudo was praised for maintaining a high level of teaching excellence at a school that "holds teachers to very high standards for their own and their students' performance." She was also recognized for her connection with the College, having served as a mentor to many Emmanuel student teachers through the years. Gribaudo graduated from Emmanuel with a degree in mathematics and secondary education. She received a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College in 2001.

As part of the ceremony, the Education department also recognized the 2012 inductees into the Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society: Brendan Amedio '12, Kristina Ball '12, Kaitlin Farrell '12, Danielle Harvey '12, Laura Homan '12, Meghan Kirwan '12, Spencer Lentine '12, Trisha Machado '12, Rebecca Mauro '12, Jeanne Micalizzi '12, Erin O'Brien '12, Mary Spadola '12, Victoria Trull '12, Jacqueline Tyman '12.
