Associate Professor of Psychology Joyce Benenson was recently featured in the article titled "Female Chimps Play with Stick Dolls" on Discovery News. Benenson's related studies contributed to the new research findings that female chimpanzees treat sticks and small logs as dolls by cuddling them, creating games and even putting them to bed, seemingly extending to girls' preference for dolls.
