Students Volunteer at Douthat State Park

Throughout spring break, seven Emmanuel students have passed up the conventional route of taking a relaxing vacation by volunteering their services at the Mountain Side Trail of Douthat State Park in Virginia.
The student volunteers at Douthat have been performing such duties as contacting stations and visitor centers, conducting environmental education programs, beautifying the parks, developing and maintaining trails, helping visitors find what they need and making nearby communities' more aware of park offerings and activities.
