Emmanuel College Launches 90K Initiative
Alumni and Families Encouraged to Participate in Volunteer Program
Boston MA June X, 2008- Emmanuel College today announced the launch of a yearlong community service program called "90K….It's All About Time," to engage alumni and their families from all over New England in volunteering.
"90K…It's All About Time," is an initiative to celebrate Emmanuel College's 90th Anniversary, its tremendous growth and vitality, and the spirit of "giving back" to our communities. From July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, Emmanuel College alumni from all will collectively raise 90,000 hours of community service. More than 10,000 hours are already pledged.
According to Jennifer Puccetti '86, Chairperson of the 90K Initiative, "Emmanuel has a long tradition of community service and what better way to bring the alumni community together than through volunteerism."
Volunteering is easy. You perhaps already volunteer in numerous ways. Whether it's five hours at your local school or 500 hours at weekend charity events, every hour counts. Include in your pledge the volunteer hours of family and friends.
Participating in 90K is easy. Simply:
- Go to www.emmanuel.edu
- Click on Alumni and Friends and follow the link to 90K.
- Register your name and the total number of volunteer hours you will pledge from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
