Individual Coverage: $58.87 semi monthly $54.25 bi-weekly
Family Coverage: Family Coverage: $231.26 semi monthly $213.47 bi-weekly
What is an HMO? An HMO contracts with a number of health care providers - its "network." HMO members pay a set fee each year for a predefined package of services. Members must use providers in the "network" to obtain free (or fully reimbursed) care. HMO care requires members to chose a Primary Care Physician (PCP), who acts as a "gatekeeper" to coordinate members' care. Approval of the PCP is required before a member can see a specialist
POS (as of January 1, 2012)
Individual Coverage: $93.99 semi monthly $86.76 bi-weekly
Family Coverage: $323.60 semi monthly $298.71 bi-weekly
What is a Point of Service Plan? A POS plan combines some features of a typical fee-for-service plan with those of a prepaid managed care arrangement. These plans allow you to use in-network or out-of-network providers. Typically, the plan will cover all (or most) of the cost of in-network providers, while those using out-of-network services will incur co-pay and/or deductible out-of-pocket expenses.

The annual maximum allowed to be set aside pre-tax for medical expenses is $2,500. Employees will also be allowed to set aside up to $5,000 in a pre-tax dependent care account for day care expenses.
Retirement and Supplemental Retirement Accounts
Eligible employees may participate in the core retirement plan with TIAA-CREF. Eligibility occurs when the employee has completed one year of employment at 1000 hours per year. Emmanuel may be able to recognize employment at another institution of higher education when calculating eligibility. If the employee participates and contributes 5%, Emmanuel will contribute a discretionary contribution of at least 1% of the eligible employee's regular earnings each pay period.
